Nurturing Leaders for Tomorrow's World

Angie Tix teaches 6th grade math and is the mother of a first grader at Isla, Linnea.  She has taught for 10 years at the secondary level and community college.  She has a Masters degree in Math Education from the University of Northern Iowa and is a graduate of Hopkins High School. Outside of school she likes to spend time with her family, especially in the outdoors, and during her limited free time she likes to do various creative arts and learn new hands-on activities. She really enjoys sewing Halloween costumes, making apple pie, French-braiding hair, making preschool crafts with her son, Oscar, and learning new foods to cook with Nieves, the LA (Language Ambassador) currently staying with the Tix family.
