Judy Rupert

Special Education Teacher

I have had many years of previous teaching experience.  I retired from Columbia Heights School District where I taught Special Education students for 28 years. I taught at both the senior high and middle school levels.  Since retiring I have taught part time for 5 years at Cedar Riverside Community School  working with elementary age students and 1 year at Moundsview  School  District as a reading teacher at the middle school level.  This is my second year at ISLA and I have enjoyed working with both students and staff. I currently work Wednesday and Thursday at ISLA from 8:00 to 4:00

My education background is an undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of North Dakota and a master’s degree in special education from the University of Minnesota with focus on learning disabilities and emotional behavioral disorders.
