Discipline Policy Meetings

ISLA is revising our current discipline policy.  The following meetings have been set up to review, provide input and update our current policy for presentation to the ISLA Board for approval:

Project Earth

The ISLA-PTO is hosting an evening of learning and showcasing our Project Earth.
Student have been working on waste management and now is the time to share with parents.


Bilingualism and Children Workshop
 

Want to know more about how children learn a second language or how you can support bilingualism?  Minnetonka Community Education offers this interactive workshop, designed for parents and others experiencing or contemplating bilingualism for their child(ren).  You will explore the benefits, development and common myths of learning a second language in childhood.  Instructors are adjunct professors at Hamline University, Graduate School of Education, in addition to being language teachers and parents of bilingual children.  This is a one session workshop being held on Wednesday, March 17th from 7-9 pm in room 205 of the Minnetonka Community Education Center located at 4585 Vine Hill Road, Excelsior, MN  55331.  The cost is only $14.00.  You can register for this class on-line at www.minnetonkacommunityed.org.
