We are happy to announce the ISLA Spanish Immersion camp this summer in June and July. The camps will run for a week at a time with different themes for every week. Students can pick and choose each week they want to attend or be here all six weeks. There will be four activities each day where campers will get to do arts and crafts, outdoors, creativity, music, traditional Hispanic games, story time, and much more to practice Spanish in a fun way! Half Day Sessions are $130 per week. If your child will be at the camp half day he/she will have two activities each day. AM session will be from 9:00 to 12:00 and PM session will be 1:00 to 4:00. Full Day Sessions are $238. The camp hours will be from 9:00 to 4 pm.
Students attending all day camp should plan to bring a bag lunch from home.We will have a picnic each day for lunch. Sessions are subject to cancelation if fewer than 15 campers register. Please send a $50 non-refundable deposit for each session to hold your child’s place. Payment Due in Full by May 30th
There will be a before and after camp care option if we have at least 4 students registered. This will run from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Summer Camp Themes
* June 14 - June 18 - Theme: FUN AND FITNESS Join us for a week filled with yoga, playing sports, making and eating healthy snacks and many other creative ways to take care your mind, body and soul.
* June 21-June 25 - Theme: MYTHS AND LEGENDS - This week will include a performance Making costumes like fairies, dragons and monsters, drawing creative back drops for our own production, and at the end performing a play.
* June 28-July 2 - Theme: GETTING' DIRTY Creating a sculpture garden and diggin’ in the dirt, become an artist and design a plaster mask, get crazy with hands on science experiments and many more dirty surprises.
* July 12 - July 16 - Theme: LET'S BUILD IT Come practice being a risk-taker and learning some construction skills. Learn how to make books, kites, foam creatures, stamps, balloon figures, a garden, masks and origami! Bring your creative minds and helpful hands!
* July19 - July 23 - Theme: ON THE WILD SIDE (animals and monsters) Take a walk on the Wild Side and explore the nature around you! Play wild water games, make “stained glass” animal designs, learn about animals around the world, make wild tie-dye designs, make animal snacks, and go animal watching. You'll even have the chance to dissect owl pellets and make your own fossils!
* July 26-July 30 - Theme: CAMP ISLA'S GOT TALENT - This week will include a performance Come show-off your talent at Camp ISLA! Participate in a puppet show, building your own puppets, creating a stage and background and learning new songs and dances! Also flex your muscles in our Mini-Olympics!
